McDunn ADUs specializes in new construction of custom accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in the close-in San Francisco East Bay Area. Originally McDunn Construction, we’ve been based in Berkeley since 2011, building and remodeling fine homes throughout the area.

Dan has a 20-year track record in residential construction. His experience ranges from production homebuilding for a Fortune 500 builder to luxury condominium construction as a small developer.

Since going into business for himself in 2001, Dan has completed over 50 significant projects representing more than 150 units of residential housing and 3 commercial sites. Since 2017, he has completed over 20 ADU projects in the inner East Bay. Dan is also an advisory member of the Berkeley ADU Task Force. He brings his passion for building, attention to detail, and pursuit of great design to every project he undertakes.

Dan is a father of 3 boys, youth sports coach, and an active outdoors man.
